  1. Hi!! Sounds great. Just curious about the chiken broth. I'm not a big fan of sodium. Any suggestions for a substitute?
    Thanks!

    3. I like to make my own broth. Vegetable ends, chicken parts and water. No salt used. Stores nicely in the freezer.

    5. Any clean recipe would involve no salt added or unsalted..... I used unsalted chicken broth.

  3. Can this be cooked using high instead of low and how long would it be for? I'm making it now with the thighs. Any suggestions for sides? I'm thinking Spaghetti squash and tomatoes.

  6. I make my own chicken broth in crackpot over nite on low,
Save your whole chicken carcus, add 1 onion with peel, ,celery ends and leafs, carrots with skin...of course washed.
Rosemary, thyme ,garlic pour water in to the top...low setting over nite.
In the morning scoop out everything and discard..use a fine mesh scoop or cheese cloth to get everything. And you have your own broth.
    Can it or freeze it.
You can do this with just veggies, beef bones, turkey ect.

  7. I just made this and it has an OVERWHELMING bitter lemon rind taste! And since its been sitting on the chicken for 8 hours, it's all absorbed into the chicken!!! Did I do something wrong and can it be fixed or did I just waste an entire meal?!? Help!!
